Oomagari Kannon-Bosatsu Stone Statue
This stone statue is Kannon-Bosatsu.
It was made in 1795 (Edo Period) .
Kannon-Bosatsu listens to people's voice and rescues people from their suffering and troubles.
There is a Kannon-Bosatsu corresponding to six ways.
(1) Jigoku(Hell)=Senjyu-Kannon(Kannon with a thousand hands).
(2) Gaki-dou(Hungry)=Seikannon(聖観音)
(3) Chikusyou-dou(Animals)=Batou-Kannon(Kannon with a horse's head).
(4) Syura(Struggle)=jyuichimen-Kannon(Kannon with eleven faces).
(5) Humans=Jyuntei-Kannon(准胝観音)/Fukuukenjyaku-Kannon(不空羂索観音)
(6) Paradise=Nyoirin-Kannon(如意輪観音)
